How do I include videos in my emails?

Most email providers do not support embedded videos in email. The best advice is to avoid this practice, as it is unlikely to be an effective way to promote your video content. If you’re interested in promoting a video in an email, however, there are ways to make it stand out as more than a complicated, ugly link.

Simulate the look of a video by including an image from the video in your email that links directly to YouTube.
  1. Go to YouTube and take a screenshot of your video as it appears inside the YouTube player. 
  2. Copy the URL for your video on YouTube. 
  3. Embed that image (screenshot) in your HTML email. 
  4. Link the image to the YouTube URL.
